Is the school a happy place to be:
I hope so. We all try very hard to make everybody happy and successful!
Has the school changed since I’ve been here:
Impossible for me to say!
Most annoying habit:
Worrying!
Here are a few quotes from Mrs D’Arcy about Achieving the 32nd Most Improved School status!
The headteacher said the school’s secret of success was “family learning environment” — which included having parents on board.
Mrs D’Arcy said: “It is about quality learning, teaching and knowing where the children are in their learning, and creating positive relationships between staff and pupils.”
Just four years ago—in 2007—the number of young people achieving five or more A* to C GCSEs was just 18 per cent.
Mrs D’Arcy said: ”It has been hard work but the staff are committed, they listen to the pupils and give up their time to ensure they succeed”

Is the school a happy place to be: It doesn’t matter if I’m happy. Ask the kids!
Has the school changed since I’ve been here: Only the name, uniform, Head teacher and most of the staff.
Most annoying habit: Not giving straight answers.
I’m most likely to say: How much?
My most embarrassing moment: Quite recently really. “Bunny” Gittins, a fellow member of the Old Smithillians Hellraisers Society challenged me as to the style of knot I employed. After much interrogation, he wrestled me to the floor and twanged my ‘Windsor’ knot. It was elastic!!
If I was invisible for a day, I would: Hide in the house all day waiting for the return from work of my wife and frighten her by gently wafting the curtains.
